October is spooky season, so feel free to bring that vibe to Queer Rope Social with spiderweb ties, costumes, and whatever seasonal spin you are feeling.

Queer Rope Social NYC is a monthly social gathering for self-identified queer folks who are into or interested in rope bondage. Attendees at Queer Rope Social can explore and experience rope ties, learn and practice rope, ask questions, and connect with fellow queer folks who share an interest in rope. We prioritize consent and creating a low-key, welcoming environment that centers queer, trans, and non-binary people.

Attendees are required to show a same-day negative COVID test at the door. Thanks to a generous donation from a QRS community member, we are able to provide some COVID tests at the door to reduce barriers to accessing COVID rapid tests, but we strongly encourage you to test in advance and bring a photo of your rapid test with you.

I am fully vaccinated & boosted against COVID19 and I will show my proof of vaccination & booster (e.g. vaccination card or photo of card or app) at the door.

This event requires you to show a negative same-day COVID test at the door. Thanks to a generous donation from a community member, we also have a small supply of COVID tests for people who otherwise could not afford a COVID test.

I am in financial need and the cost of a COVID test is prohibitively expensive to me and would prevent me from attending the event. I am in need of one of the donated COVID tests. I will arrive at least 15 minutes early to take the COVID test at the door.

The cost of attending this event is $10-$35 sliding scale (more if you can, less if you need) per person.

Putting on this event every month is a labor of love. We rely on entry fees in order to sustain this event. Starting in 2024, our venue fees increased by 66%, after having already previously doubled.

We are committed to keeping our sliding scale pricing and to keeping the low end of that sliding scale at $10 for as long as we can.

We also offer free entry to volunteers, who help with space set-up & re-set and door staffing. To volunteer, please email queerropesocial@gmail.com.

Doors will open by 7:00pm and we aim to close the doors at 7:30pm, so that our door volunteers can join the event. Please do what you need to do to arrive before 7:30pm. If you arrive after 7:30pm, you must buzz #6, go to the 4th Floor, and show that you have paid by Venmo and have a photo of your negative COVID test, as we don't have the capacity to administer 15-minute rapid COVID tests at the door after 7:30pm.
